ted's visit
ted came to visit me! it was great to see him and take a vacation--we spent a lot of time in the city and did all the touristy things, many that i had already done but also some that i hadn't (like museums). we also took a trip along the southern coast of iceland. ted has lots of pictures on his blog too (http://breakinkaratecross.blogspot.com/).
we rented a car-- it was so nice to have a car but gas costs about $7.20/gallon (once you convert from kroner to dollars and liters to gallons).
ted reflected in the pearlhydrogen fueling station, there is at least one hydrogen bus but i haven't seen it. they make the hydrogen with geothermal energy.

we drove alone the southern coast of iceland and it rained.
these huge pieces of steel used to be part of a bridge that was destroyed during a flood that was the result of a volcanic eruption under the glacier vatnajokull.
i love the moss in iceland-it is so springy!
