whale watching

another cultural event with the language class was a whale watching tour in the reykjavik bay. we first stopped by puffin island but there were only a few puffins were still hanging around. they all migrate out to sea on Aug. 18 (how they know it's exactly aug. 18 every year i don't understand)
we saw a number of minke whales and one humpback whale! (i didn't even try to take pictures of them).
