change of seasons

fall and winter have begun almost simultaneously. the leaves started changing and we had the first snow fall on mt. esja (just outside the city) last week. we’ve had a few days of 0 degrees celsius and the days are getting shorter by 7 minutes each day (right now we have 12 hours of daylight since it's the equinox). by the time i leave in mid-december the sun will rise at 11:15 and set at 3:30...in the meantime i’m going to soak up as much sun as i can. snow!
