women's day march. women in iceland get paid 64.15% of what men get paid so yesterday women were supposed to leave work at 2:08 after working 64.15% of a normal work day to protest the wage difference. this was the 30th anniversary of the first women's day march, back in 1975 women only got 40-50% of what men earned; the newspaper here said that women in the US get paid 75% of what men get paid. the streets were packed since 50,000 people turned out for the event!
