sigur ros

last night i went to see iceland's second most famous music group, sigur ros. it was an incredible show with 3 encores! they haven't played in iceland in something like 3 years (even though they all live right here in reykjavik) so all 5,000 tickets sold out. thanks to jamie's work connections we had actual seats for the 3 hour concert. (there are many things i will miss about iceland but one thing i won't miss is that smoking is allowed just about everywhere--yay for seattle for passing the smoking ban!)
(during airwaves a couple of months ago all the members of sigur ros were just in front of me waiting in line to get into a club (my roommate pointed them out) but since famous people in iceland are no big deal they didn't get in to the club that night either)
