baby buggies parked outside a coffee shop on laugavegur. everyone leaves their babies outside when they go into stores or out for coffee or visiting at other people's houses. even when it's really cold and snowy outside (they really bundle the kids up though so they don't get cold).

kidnapping and stroller theft are unheard of in iceland--can you imagine if someone in the states left a child in a stroller on the sidewalk??
Do they tie their dog leashes to the strollers? Really, who wants pets or babies inside a nice establishment?
